How To Stay Energized Throughout The Day

We work, we plan, we organize, we go, fueling ourselves on coffee and pure determination. Until, that is, we fall onto the sofa in a stupor. More of us are struggling with energy issues.

Here are some of things you need to do to stay energized throughout the day.

1. Don’t Skip Breakfast: Always remember breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It has long term benefits and can easily reduce obesity, high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes.





2. Don’t hit the snooze button: Avoid hitting the snooze button to wake up in the morning. Keep your curtains half open so that you can wake up gradually. Refraining from hitting the snooze button will ensure a more energized morning.




3. Stretching: Stretching is a great way to wake up in the morning. It helps maintain your energy throughout the day.




4. Drink a lot of water: Water regulates your body temperature and lubricates your joints. It helps transport nutrients to give you energy. If you're not properly hydrated, your body may experience muscle cramps, fatigue, and dizziness.




5. Get adequate sleep: It plays an important role in your physical health. For example, sleep is involved in healing and repair of your body. Sleep deficiency is linked to an increased risk of heart disease, kidney disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and stroke.




6. Exercise regularly: If you exercise regularly or practice yoga in the morning for 15-20 minutes, it will keep you energetic and stress free for the entire day. 

7. Avoid intake of too much caffeine: You might feel energized for some time but too much of coffee is bad for your health. Intake of coffee beyond limits may cause you to crash.




8. Don’t overeat: Overeating is bad for your health as it can cause you to be sluggish and tired. You need to avoid too much of carbohydrates and fats and focus more on fruits and vegetables.

9. Take small breaks every hour: Taking small breaks at work every hour can make you happier, focused and productive. Take breaks to move outside and walk in the corridors. 

10. Avoid junk food: Junk food has low nutritional value and has increased level of hydrogenated fats. If you want to remain active and energetic throughout the day, avoid it at any cost.
